West Virginia Winners
West Virginia is one of only three states - along with Iowa and Kansas – which offered the original Lotto America when it launched in 1988 and the revamped format when it began in 2017. Marvetta Coffman from Parkersburg held the record for the state’s biggest win for five years thanks to her $17 million payout on the game back in January 1990.
The first winner of the new version of the game was a $4.2 million payout on August 19. It went to a player who purchased their ticket from the Tobacco Barn in Milton, Cabell County.
